Dear, Get Back To Work
Well, Miss Maggie has gotten herself a job! Yep it is true she is working for......Robbie! Robbie has set up a office in his closet. The office includes a make shift desk on top of his lego storage, curtains which is really hanging clothes, a clock, self made art work, and a coffee cup. What exactly is Maggie's job? Well, she writes stories and makes blue prints. Maggie must complete four stories of her choice per year and two blue prints. When I asked what kind of blue prints I was informed that blue prints are really sketches of different outfits and accessories. Hmmmmmm.
Robbie asked Maggie to work daily, but she takes after her Mama and said she is only available two days a week and needs a flexible schedule. Maggie gets paid in crystals (2 crystals per day) that she receives at the beginning of her work day and must give back at the end of her work day. Yes, she receives the same two crystals every day she works.
I asked Robbie what his job as Maggie's boss requires and this is what he had to say. I bring her snacks and juice and play the music she likes. I also hold her guinea pig and feed it. Hmmmm...who is working for who? Sounds to me like Maggie landed a pretty sweet job with a pretty sweet boss!

Dear, Santa Baby
Dear, Santa Baby
It is almost here!!!! We are all counting down the days until Christmas day. Robbie actually checks the calendar more than once a day and gives us all updates of how many days we still have left to wait. Miss Maggie is humming Christmas tunes all over the house and we are all really excited!
I think this Christmas I am getting everything I want! My best friend Jadee will be here for a few days before Christmas, my family is all together and happy, and I just can't think of anything better or anything I would want more than that! it's gonna be the best Christmas ever!!!!
I love Christmas Day, but even more I love getting ready for it. I love the holiday baking, the Christmas tree decorating, the shopping, the little Christmas celebration with my tennis friends, the Christmas lights, the gift wrapping and........oh......I just love it all!!!
So.....Santa Baby....I don't have a list this year because I really do have everything I want!
Merry Christmas!

Dear, Great Pumpkin
Dear, Great Pumpkin
I have to admit I am a summer girl, but I do enjoy the crisp weather, the beautiful colors, and the cozy days that fall brings. It is a change of pace for the Fiocchi family. Football is in full swing, tennis is no longer a weekly event, and school for both the Mama and kids is part of the daily schedule.
Football......my little guy is the QB for his team for the third year in the row and they are in the playoffs!!!! I say little guy and I mean little guy!!! He is one of the smallest kids on his team and his team is the smallest in the league. It's hard to be the QB when you can't see over the line, so needless to say there isn't much of a passing game. In spite of his size he does a great job! He uses his quickness and laid back attitude to complete hand offs, make pitches, and score touch downs!!!
Tennis.....my sweet girl played her little butt off this summer in all kinds of tournaments. She won some and lost some heart breakers. She finished the year rated 6th in the Pacific North West at the challenger level. She played some doubles with her partner Skylar and they were super fun to watch!!! Cute too!!! She is still playing about a tournament a month and it is fun to see her game develop and her love for the sport grow. Very proud of her!
School.....school is going great for all of us! The Mama is taking a math class and loving it. My sweet girl is in honor classes and doing great and my little guy is ruling the school as a big 5th grader.
Yep, we are enjoying the fall season.

Dear, Nonsense
Dear, Nonsense
Is it just my son or are there others out there too? Robbie is constantly going to school as a ragamuffin and I have to say it irritates me!!!! For example on Wednesday he came out of his room dressed in red, blue, and khaki plaid shorts with a green camouflage long sleeved shirt. Really???? I even asked him if that was the best choice of things to pair together and he said "Yep". Nonsense!!!!!
Is it just my husband or are there others out there too? Rob is still incapable of putting the toilet seat down. Are you kidding me? I don't know if you have experienced sitting on a toilet when the seat is up, but it hurts and it is not an easy task getting up again! Nonsense!!!!!
Is it just my daughter or are there others doing this too? What is the point of wearing a t-shirt and tying it in the back with a rubber band? I hate it and it ruins the shirt. Nonsense!!!!!
Is it just me or are their others out there too? Have you noticed wrinkles starting to show around the corners of your eyes and did anybody tell you that around 35 cellulite was going to magically appear on the back of your thighs? I am not happy that I didn't even get a complimentary heads up that this may just happen. Nonsense!!!!!

Dear, Portland
Dear, Portland
I think most people have had "something" in their lives they have worked for and when the opportunity presents it's self for the "something" to be seized......sometimes it just doesn't work out. Although this is disappointing, heart breaking, and even sad there is something really satisfying about almost making it. Here are some of the things I have enjoyed while working toward my "something".
Building life long friendships that I really believe are true, strong, and full of heart felt understanding.
Figuring out puzzles and finding true determination within myself.
Setting an example and following through on the things I say.
Realizing my passion is limitless and there is always a way.
Learning new skills and not being afraid to use them.
Taking chances and believing in them.
Making hard choices to benefit the group as a whole.
Working hard and truly never giving up.
Knowing I have an amazing partner that makes me shine!
Being able to laugh until it hurts.
Doing all the little stuff behind the scenes....I loved it!
Learning about others and being sensitive to them.
Realizing that my "something" is filled with second chances and almost was not the end.
Being on the most amazing team and having this opportunity!
I loved every second and just so you know.......I will be back and I'm bringing my kick ass partner with me!!!! Watch out Portland!

Dear, Other Things
Dear, Other Things
Ok...forgive me!!! I have been ignoring my blog for ummmmm......months! Why??? I have NOT been inspired to write about anything. I actually try to avoid my computer at all costs because it is where I sit for hours a week doing homework and a few......other things. So I am going to admit to all of you exactly what it is those other things are.
1. I am secretly stalking other 3.5 tennis players in the Pacific North West. I look them up gather stats and try to determine how strong I think they are. I spend hours doing this and yes I know......it is completely unreasonable.
2. I flip back and forth between Stella McCartney's 2011 spring tennis line and the grass green Manolo Blahnik high heels I am in love with. I will NEVER own anything from Stella McCartney or a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels but I admit I am convinced my tennis game would greatly improve if I owned just one of her tank tops and I don't even want to imagine how fabulous I would be in a pair of Manolo Blahniks........oh the possibilities!!!!
3. I drink way to much diet brown pop while eating dark chocolate and sucking on suckers. It really is terrible but it is one of those......other things.
4. I answer and send emails.
5. Occasionally I will go to dictionary.com and find the word of the day.
6. I look up vegetarian recipes and seriously contemplate giving up all meat.
7. I check my A&P grade on line at least twice a day which is ridiculous since my teacher only ever updates it once a week. I'm going to stop doing this since it is REALLY dumb! I'll only check it on Wednesdays from now on.
8. I listen to my music on my Itunes account.
9. I look up airline price to Monroe, LA and consider making a trip and then quickly remember I hate flying. Sorry Kirkham!!!
10. I look at Etsy and think.....REALLLY????.....there are people making a living on crafting. I would rather gnaw my arm off!
Ok....so that's the ugly truth about the....other stuff!!!!
